What this drill builds

Build a split-step and recovery rhythm that keeps you balanced for the next shot.

Set up

One player gives a direction cue with a short shadow paddle swing. The moving player reacts and recovers without hitting a ball.

Make the rep useful

Common miss: Taking one large step and reaching instead of using adjustment steps.

A good rep: You feel light enough to change direction immediately after every cue.
