BUILD YOUR AGILITY

Wide-ball recoveries.

Reaching a wide ball matters. Recovering for the next one is what keeps you in the point.

What this drill builds

Move to a wide ball with balance, send a safe reply, and return to a connected ready position.

Set up

B feeds A a ball wide. A starts in the middle, moves with side steps, sends a controlled crosscourt reply, then recovers to the middle.

Make the rep useful

Common miss: Watching your shot after contact instead of beginning recovery.

A good rep: You can handle five wide feeds without losing your balanced base.

The takeaway

Recovery keeps a stretched-out shot from becoming the end of the point, giving you a chance to regain balance for the next ball.
